Job requirements

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize relational database schemas and structures (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions

  • Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines

  • Implement and maintain database migration, replication, backup, and recovery strategies

  • Proactively monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve scalability

  • Configure, secure, and automate database infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Ensure compliance with security, confidentiality, and data integrity requirements

  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical production environments

🎯 Objectives

  • Build robust, secure, and scalable databases for mission-critical healthcare applications

  • Optimize database performance and availability in cloud-based environments (AWS)

  • Embed modern DevOps practices into database development and operations (Database DevOps)

📚 Requirements

  • Proven experience in database development and administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and query optimization skills

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2 preferred)

  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN)

  • Experience using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated database provisioning

  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  • Experience integrating databases into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible, CodeDeploy)

  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and performance best practices

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex distributed environments

  • Linux/Unix systems experience and basic networking knowledge

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
