 Delivery Lead Geoscience & Reservoir

Main scope of the role

 

As a delivery lead, the candidate will manage the operational activity of a portfolio of applications for geosciences and reservoir engineering domain (also named G&R domain).

You will be integrated in an international team with a large number of stakeholders, on both supplier's side (maintenance, editor, IT support) and business side (geology, geophysics, reservoir).

Your role is essential in bridging the offshore delivery service and our business units, ensuring IT alignment with the Company's governance framework.

You will drive continuous improvement of the running of a large-scale portfolio (>100 apps), optimizing costs while ensuring SLA-driven quality

Responsabilities & tasks (additional information)

 

  • manage the service provided by the supplier of application maintenance, with the participation of steering committees and the validation of deliverables

  • monitor the availability and performance of the portfolio of G&R applications to ensure contractual commitments are met

  • continuously improve, optimize, and industrialize processes and operate models within our scope.

  • ensure obsolescence and cybersecurity requirements are met and coordinate remediation actions

  • manage incidents, problems, handle operational priorities and set up a task force if required

  • approve changes proposed by the business in applications and manage their delivery

  • manage editor’s licenses renewal and provide usage reports

  • participate in projects deployment, contribute to their delivery on time and on budget and prepare their move to run

  • maintaining up-to-date documentation and knowledge bases

  • manage the relationships with Editors (for contract management and purchase orders) in collaboration with our procurement entity

  • budget follow up and costs optimization in collaboration with the business analyst

  • contribute to the set up of applications roadmaps in collaboration with the business analyst, including a new set of applications coming from a development partnership

Additional stakeholders from our TMA (India, Romania) and software editors (international)

Job requirements

 

Candidate's profile

 

Over 5 years of relevant experience in IT service delivery

Educational Background

 

Master’s degree

Technical skills - tools & technologies

 

  • very good knowledge on "on prem" infrastucture (Windows, Linux RHEL, Database SQL Server or Postgres, storage, network, authentication such as Entra ID, etc.) and on workstation environment such as packaged applications, software deployment, Intune, GPOs, endpoint management, workstation policies

  • good understanding of architecture principles, infrastructure lifecycle management and obsolescence, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • good knowledge on CMDB processes and tool (ServiceNow)

  • skills on Azure cloud environment is a plus , including working with repositories (GitHub, Quay), CI/CD and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), DevSecOps, Sysops
