Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and visionary Lead Software Engineer (Tech Lead) to drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of this transformation.

This role combines deep technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. You will act as the primary technical reference for the team, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.

You will directly manage, mentor, and scale a dedicated team of engineers ensuring the platform remains robust, secure, and highly scalable.

You will work in a modern and cloud environment (.NET Core, React, PostGre SQL, Cloud), collaborating closely with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams across the organization.

You will Enforce and mature the existing testing culture. Maintain rigorous standards for security and system observability.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Own and drive the technical vision and roadmap of the product

  • Lead architecture design and ensure consistency across systems and services

  • Make and validate key technical decisions aligned with business strategy

  • Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines

  • Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of solutions

  • Lead modernization efforts (cloud adoption, legacy refactoring, platform evolution)

 

Engineering Excellence

  • Design, develop, and oversee robust, well-tested and observable .NET applications and APIs

  • Establish and drive best practices for code quality (reviews, testing, CI/CD, DevOps)

  • Ensure high standards in performance, reliability, and security

  • Promote and implement observability (monitoring, logging, alerting)

  • Continuously improve development processes and engineering practices

 

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Act as the technical leader and reference for the development team

  • Mentor and coach engineers to support their technical growth

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Lead code reviews with a focus on quality and knowledge sharing

  • Support onboarding of new team members

  • Contribute to hiring and technical evaluation when needed

 

Delivery Ownership

  • Accountable for the technical delivery of the team

  • Ensure commitments are met with high quality standards

  • Balance delivery speed, technical debt, and long-term sustainability

  • Identify, anticipate, and mitigate technical risks

  • Ensure alignment between product priorities and technical execution

 

Agile & Product Collaboration

  • Act as the technical counterpart to the Product Owner

  • Contribute to backlog prioritization based on technical complexity and impact

  • Drive technical input in sprint planning, refinement, and estimation

  • Improve team predictability, velocity, and delivery efficiency

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile team

 

Cross-Team & Organizational Impact

  • Collaborate with architects and other teams to ensure system coherence

  • Contribute to global engineering practices and technical governance

  • Promote reuse, standardization, and alignment across teams

  • Influence technical strategy beyond the immediate product scope

Agile environment & team structure

 

The successful candidate will join a cross-functional Agile Scrum team operating in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The team is composed of 6 Software Developers, 1 Lead Software Engineer (you), 1 QA Engineer, 1 Product Delivery Lead, 1 UI/UX Designer and 1 Product Owner, working closely together to deliver high-quality solutions.

As part of this Agile setup, the Lead Software Engineer will actively participate in all standard Scrum ceremonies, including:

  • Sprint Planning: Contributing to sprint goals definition, estimation, and task breakdown

  • Daily Stand-ups: Sharing progress, identifying blockers, and aligning with the team

  • Sprint Reviews: Demonstrating completed work and collecting stakeholder feedback

  • Sprint Retrospectives: Driving continuous improvement and team efficiency

  • Backlog Refinement: Working with the Product Owner to clarify and prepare upcoming work

The role requires a strong team mindset, with a focus on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Lead Software Engineer will collaborate closely with all team members to ensure smooth delivery, high code quality, and alignment with business objectives.

As Tech Lead, you will play a key role in:

  • Driving technical direction within Scrum ceremonies

  • Ensuring alignment between team execution and broader technical strategy

  • Supporting team effectiveness and continuous improvement

Job requirements

10+ years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years in a formal team lead, tech lead, or engineering management role.

Strong .NET Core and relational databases (specifically PostgreSQL) experience

Strong hands-on experience with Cloud technologies deploying containerized applications

Strong commitment to test-driven development or high-test-coverage environments using xUnit or equivalent frameworks

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Proven experience in a Tech Lead or senior technical leadership role

Strong experience driving architecture and technical decisions

Experience mentoring and guiding engineers

Ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong ownership mindset and decision-making capability

Leadership through influence and example

Strong problem-solving mindset

Experience with design and modeling tools

Experience in hybrid technology environments

Strong computer science fundamentals

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum)

Bonus points if you have previously navigated a vendor-to-in-house code migration or internalization process.
