Why is the job exciting?
As a Team Leader, you will be leading the team that offers advanced infrastructure and security design, implementation, support and maintenance services. You will lead implementation services according to the company's technical procedures and standards, and customer requirements in order to deliver functional, operational and optimized solutions.
Your job, as well as the ones of your team members, implies direct client contact, from pre-sales through post implementation and support: analysis meetings, project meeting, steering committees. Sales process and project management are supported by your colleagues from the sales teams and project management.
What are the Key Challenges and Goals?
People management: run performance reviews, set targets and prepare and monitor completion of professional development plans within the team; ensure continues feedback dialogues and contribute to all human capital management processes related to the development of your team. Coach, motivate, and monitor the performance of all team members to sustain stability and a high level of professional service within the team.
Resource management:
ensure team is accurately sized and allocated, from a headcount perspective to current and future needed skills and competencies:
proper allocation of resources (in cooperation with PMO)
monitoring time tracking completion, procedure compliance
defining and monitoring the operating flows specific to your team
setting of priorities, planning team activities
follow-up and review of deliverables
follow-up and review of deliverables
actively contribute to the hiring process
contribute to the budgeting process, as per requested budget elements for own team.
Client management:
· successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders in order to meet customers' and business needs;
· attend meetings relevant for the business, keep relation with client during implementation;
· get involved in pre-sales stages, essential to design of a functional solution for the client.
Technical and operational management:
active leading the solution creation, effort estimation, implementation and project implementation.
supervise and approve all estimations for the team; support the team in developing skills for accurate estimations
technical analysis of the solutions, breaking them down into tasks, and distributing the tasks to team members
assess and deal with technical risk;
validate scope of work
monitor and contribute to architecture and solution design for all team deliverables
ensure implementations are delivered on time and on budget
ensure required reporting for the team.
Knowledge development and sharing:
ensure all projects are properly documented by the team members.
provide guidance and knowledge transfer to individuals or teams, support and mentor less skilled and less experienced employees, to increase work efficiency, create a knowledge-based organization and sustain a competitive advantage
participate in researching and adopting new technologies
keep up to date with technical and industry sector developments, applying existing and introducing new and approved technologies to developer solutions in order to assure quality standards and fulfil current and future requirements.
Quality management:
ensure quality of implementation process: code reviews, follow or re-adjust coding guidelines (where needed)
constantly monitor the gap between desired outcome/ functionalities and deliverables, ensuring action to reduce any gaps/ deviations.
Job requirements
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in a senior role in infrastructure services
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a team management/coordination position in the IT industry
Minimum 3+ years in a technical lead role for complex projects
Experience with implementing custom, complex infrastructure and security services
Excellent planning and organizing abilities, strong communication skills
Solid analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems and make decisions
Ability and willingness to work as a part of a team and to build strong working relationships
Strong orientation towards customer focus on identifying and exceeding their needs
Openness to the continuous acquisition of new skills and competencies, as well as to improving existing ones
Drive to lead people towards achieving team goals and developing them to achieve the best possible performance.
Ability to be a change agent, demonstrate flexibility and openness to change.
