Tech Lead Platform Subsurface - 2026

Main scope of the role

• Contribute to the transformation of subsurface user workplace from on prem legacy to

a hybrid architecture combining Azure cloud and private cloud

• Act as a doer bringing his or her technical skills on OPS & DEVOPS practices in

Azure & on-prem technologies

• Be integrated into a product team & interact with a large number of stakeholders

within an Agile Release Train based on the SAFe framework

Responsibilities & tasks (additional information)

“Do” as this position is hands-on with a strong “Doer” dimension

• Design cloud infrastructures with Architects and Cybersecurity teams

• Automate the deployment of developed products and infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain the operation of deployed products and infrastructure in optimal

operational conditions

• Supervise Ops & DevOps service providers for Geosciences Cloud Workspace

(GCW) or OSDU platforms

• Participate in the design and implementation of the Ops & DevOps strategy for the

subsurface department

• Contribute to the definition of the strategy and roadmap for cloud & on-premise

deployments for Geosciences

• Interact on a daily basis with other members of the product team in scrum ceremonies

(daily, sprint planning …) and report progress & activities on a regular basis to

product owners

• Keep up to date with engineering practices and new technologies (AI, modern

infrastructure…) for deploying applications on cloud/on-prem platforms

• End users representatives: Data Managers, Geoscientists

Candidate's profile

• IT engineers with more than 5 years of experience

• Experience in cloud environment (Azure)

• Strong sense of service (collaborative, client-oriented)

Educational Background

Engineer / Master sciences background

Technical skills – tools & technologies

• At least 3 years in an IAAS context in Azure as a doer

• Experience on Linux

• Experience developing VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) with very challenging

requirements on latency would be a must

• Good knowledge on Linux Redhat operating system

• Knowledge of on-premise infrastructures

• Strong skills in Azure cloud environment

• Ability to work in product mode with agile mindset

• Full stack development skills

• Solid skills on automation tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and

Terraform

• Ideally competencies & experience on containers technologies (OpenShift /

Kubernetes)

• Global knowledge on not mentioned above IT infrastructure concepts: network,

storage, back-up, web portals
